Ingredients

1 c salted butter

2 ¼ c flour all-purpose

½ c granulated sugar

1 c packed dark brown sugar

1 large egg

1 egg yolk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

2 tbs plain Greek yogurt

1 c chocolate chips (semi sweet)

1 c Nutella

Instructions

1. Prepare the Nutella filling. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and dropping dollops of Nutella roughly 2tbs in size onto the cookie sheet. Place into the freezer to harden while you prepare your cookie dough.

2. Now its time to brown your butter, this will elevate your cookie and possibly make this the best cookie you will ever bake. In a medium-sized sauce pan over medium heat, melt your butter. Once the butter has been completely melted turn up the heat a little bit. Using a wooden spoon continuously stir the butter until the butter turns brown. Once your butter is brown, remove from heat and pour into a heat proof bowl. Allow the butter to cool for about 20-30 minutes before moving on to the next step.

3. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

4. In a large bowl combine the browned butter and sugars, stir well. Stir in the egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt.

5. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until all the ingredients are well combined.

7. Fold in the chocolate chips and chill dough for 15 minutes.

8. Remove the Nutella from the freezer (the Nutella will start to dethaw quickly so put it back in the freezer if it starts becoming too sticky to work with).

9. Take about 1 ½ tbs of cookie dough and form dough around Nutella and roll into a ball until the Nutella is completely hidden inside. Continue this until there is no more Nutella or cookie dough left. Place the cookie dough balls on the parchment paper about 2 inches apart from each other.

10. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown. Allow to cool completely on the cookie sheet before removing. Serve and enjoy!
